Mullin Law Stays Current at ABA Forum on Franchising
TORONTO – Oct. 14, 2009 - Mullin Law attorneys Stephanie Russ and Maral Kilejian will attend the American Bar Association’s 32nd Annual Forum on Franchising in Toronto, Canada, on Oct. 14-15, 2009. The forum will review such timely topics as franchise systems in distress, best practices for state registration, common discovery issues and bringing foreign franchises to the U.S. By participating in the franchising law workshops, Russ and Kilejian will enhance Mullin Law’s franchise law experience and further assist clients in making critical legal and business decisions during this economic period.
Mullin Law Attorney Speaks to Local High School Students About Health Care Reform
DALLAS – Sept. 22, 2009 - Kelly Ganzberger, associate with Mullin Law, PC, spoke about health care reform at an orientation hosted by the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers (DAYL) Young Voters Committee, which encourages young adult participation in government and elections. Ganzberger’s perspective helped prepare students in the DISD Law & Government Magnet Program for a debate on the topic, scheduled for Sept. 29, 2009. The students will then participate in a mock-vote of the proposed referendums on Oct. 7, 2009.
The DAYL Young Voters Committee conducts mock-vote programs at area high schools, colleges and youth-based organizations in a campaign to register new voters and educate Dallas area young voters about the electoral process, the importance of voting and how local and national elections affect their daily lives. Mock-votes include an orientation presentation to inform the students of the purpose and subject matter of the program, a student-led debate or question/answer forum with government and/or public officials representing each side of the program subject matter, and a mock-vote using official Dallas County election equipment.
Mullin Law Attorney Attends International Franchise Association Public Affairs Conference in D.C.
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Sept. 14, 2009 - Kelly Ganzberger, associate with Mullin Law, PC, will attend the IFA Public Affairs conference in D.C. on September 14 -15, 2009. She will be working with IFA committee members to lobby on behalf of small businesses for key issues such as health care reform, union card check, tax policy, economic stimulus programs and access to credit. Franchise plays a critical role in this economy, and Ganzberger in conjunction with the IFA will address these issues with members of Congress during the conference.
