Kirte Kinser brings more than 33 years of legal experience, many with some of the country’s largest law firms, and a practical, client-focused approach to lead Mullin Law’s litigation practice. Although his practice is wide-ranging, Kirte primarily focuses on representing emerging, growing and established businesses and individuals in civil disputes involving numerous areas of the law, including contracts, secured lending, franchise, leases, employment and non-competition agreements, fiduciary duty, business torts, fraud, constitutional law, defamation, real estate, intellectual property, fair credit, deceptive trade practices, oil and gas, and many others. He counsels clients on the avoidance, management and resolution of disputes across a broad spectrum of industry and business segments, including banking and lending, financial services, real estate development and sales, hospitality, health and healthcare providers, communications and entertainment, franchisors and franchisees, services, retailers, and others. Since 2000, Kirte has also had an active, wide-ranging mediation and alternative dispute resolution practice as a court-appointed neutral in a broad spectrum of disputes. Kirte takes an adaptive approach to dispute resolution, establishing an environment and process unique to each particular case. Skilled as a zelaous advocate, Kirte has the depth of knowledge and experience to deftly assist the parties in every case to reach a mutual agreement on their own terms, not his, whether it is an automobile accident or a multi-million dollar business dispute.
Kirte earned his J.D. in 1984 from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law, where he was a Hatton W. Sumners Scholar, served as the managing editor of the Annual Survey of Texas Law and graduated cum laude and Order of the Coif. Kirte was awarded a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 1981. In addition to his active litigation practice, Kirte has served on numerous professional committees and the governing boards of numerous for-profit, non-profit and community organizations.
